– What 35 years of running has taught me about winning, losing, happiness, humility and the human heart –
This is a small book that I finished in 90mins in Yishun library before going for Macbeth. And it is SOMEBOOK. Awesome if you look at it, there is nowhere you can’t go without patience and effort. You just need to get down and do the hard work, day in day out, and wait it out. Some day, it will come. Don’t know when, but it will come. That’s what I’m placing all my money and sweat and dropped toenails on. I will get to be like Krupicka and Scott Jurek one day.
How artistic and romantic is it to run and write and aspire. The entirety of self expression.
Rudyard Kipling’s Time:
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds’ worth of distance run
Yours is the Earth and everything’s that in it
And – which is more – you’ll be a Man, my son!
Be like Emil Zatopek. Every day is hard work.
